For Mayor

Rebecca Bligh is a community leader, two-term Vancouver City Councillor, Metro Vancouver Director, and former President of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities. Throughout her career, she has been guided by a simple belief: meaningful leadership begins with service and grows through responsibility.

As a candidate for Mayor of Vancouver, Rebecca believes leadership is less about power and more about service. She is passionate about building a city where people can afford to live, businesses can thrive, neighbourhoods remain strong, and residents can once again feel confident that City Hall is focused on the issues that matter most.

John Boychuk has a background in managing complex projects and operations. He brings a practical, accountable approach to city-building. He believes Vancouver can grow in a way that’s both sustainable and livable, while supporting local businesses that bring energy and character to our neighbourhoods.

John is running for City Council to strengthen connections — reduce isolation, improve access to services, and ensure Vancouver remains welcoming to diverse communities, including LGBTQ2S+ residents.

Dr. Rebecca Hasdell is a public health researcher and leader who has worked for two decades on how everyday decisions like housing, food systems and the way communities are designed shape opportunities and the health of Canadians. 

Rebecca is running for City Council to help build a healthier, more connected Vancouver that works for everyone, with people at the centre of every decision.

Steve is an accomplished real estate development and acquisitions executive with decades of experience shaping communities across Metro Vancouver. Throughout his career, he has led the planning, acquisition, and development of multi-residential, mixed-use, industrial, resort, and commercial projects, including master-planned communities that provide homes for more than 30,000 residents and over two million square feet of commercial space.

Steve is running for City Council to focus on thoughtful planning, responsible growth, efficient decision-making, and delivering the infrastructure and services that support complete neighbourhoods.

Keerit Jutla is a lawyer, business leader, and community advocate with a career spent negotiating with governments, building companies, and forming partnerships with Indigenous communities across Canada.

He is running for City Council to bring that same experience, negotiating with power and building consent-based partnerships, directly to the people of Vancouver. He believes decisions about this city should be made in the open, not behind closed doors, and that growth should happen for residents, not to them.

Bhavna Solecki is an entrepreneur, clinical researcher and community leader with decades of experience building businesses, developing innovative products, creating licensing and partnership agreements for publicly traded companies across the globe. She has volunteered her time to numerous non-profit organizations and has been advocating for seniors’ affordable housing solutions.

Bhavna is running for city council to use her interpersonal skills and experience to bring modern community programs that allow aging in place and practical solutions to improve the lives of all Vancouver residents. She firmly believes neighbourhoods deserve someone who has walked alongside the community members and fought for them.

Geoff Teoli is an entrepreneur, creative industry leader, and former Vancouver Film Commissioner with decades of experience bringing people together, solving complex problems, and delivering results. He has worked across business, government, and the non-profit sector, helping strengthen Vancouver's creative economy while improving how City Hall serves residents, businesses, and community partners.

Summit Ambeault-Wannamaker is a wildland firefighter who spends his summers in the forests of Western Canada. When he is not working to keep our communities safe, he works on his undergraduate degree at UBC in political science.

Summit is running to enhance the experience of users at Vancouver’s parks and recreation sites as well as to advocate for non-partisan allocation of infrastructure resources.

Stephen Menon is a product development expert and non-profit leader who has spent two decades building innovative solutions for US and Canadian organizations.

Stephen is running for Park Board with Vote Vancouver to bring strategic discipline to the board. He will focus on improving user experiences by streamlining services, enabling smart growth, and delivering practical results for Vancouver residents.

Tasha Doucas is an educator, entrepreneur, governance leader, sports coach, and proud single mother to her 17-year-old son. She holds a Bachelor of Education in Elementary Education, is bilingual (English and French) and has and has dedicated her career to helping people, organizations, and communities thrive through education, collaboration, and innovative leadership.

Inspired by her own son's educational journey, Tasha is running to ensure every student feels safe, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential. She believes strong public education is built on collaboration, accountability, and meaningful partnerships between students, families, educators, and the community.

Amarys Joseph is an entrepreneur, community organizer, and education professional who advocates for educators, children, and parents across Vancouver.

Amarys is running for School Board with Vote Vancouver to collaborate with the school district and daycares, with the goal of making the process simpler and more affordable.

Mandy Potter is a venture capitalist, entrepreneur, and community builder dedicated to creating opportunities for underrepresented founders and future generations of leaders. Through her work, Mandy has helped support entrepreneurs, build strategic partnerships, and advocate for greater access to capital and economic opportunity.

As a parent raising a daughter who is entering the Vancouver school system, Mandy understands the importance of safe, welcoming, and high-performing schools. She is running for School Board Trustee because she wants to help strengthen public education, support student success, ensure schools remain inclusive for all families, and bring a practical, community-focused perspective to decisions that shape the future of local students.
