Stephen Menon

FOR PARK BOARD

Stephen Menon is a business and non profit leader with a track record of solving complex problems for large organizations. He launched one of Canada’s largest consumer products, still used daily by millions of Canadians. Stephen understands customer experience from working with start-ups and enterprise organizations across the globe.

After graduating from Queens with a commerce degree, he was the first Canadian to be invited to join MBNA’s management program. His career advanced into executive leadership in banking where he learned about regulatory compliance, aligning stakeholders to a vision, improving services while reducing costs, and managing national teams. Stephen was able to translate those skills into the tech industry where he helps start-ups scale. This earned him a spot on BIV’s 40 under 40 list in 2019.

With a decade-plus of nonprofit board service as treasurer and strategic planner for small to large organizations including Qmunity in Vancouver. Stephen has combined fiscal discipline with collaborative leadership in his volunteer roles.

Running for Park Board Commissioner, with Vote Vancouver, Stephen brings battle-tested expertise to Vancouver's priorities: an independent park board that focuses on improving citizen experiences both in person and digitally, making capital investments that the city can afford, and ensuring that our our most important community spaces (parks, beaches, community centre’s) are set up to meet current and future needs.
