Summit Ambeault-Wannamaker is a wildland firefighter who battles blazes across western Canada. With frontline experience at Alberta Wildfire and Fernie Alpine Resort, plus seasonal organizing roles, Summit has developed crisis response and bilingual stakeholder engagement skills in high-pressure environments. He is also enrolled at UBC, studying political science. Summit volunteers in community groups on campus to both understand colleagues’ needs and develop policies that improve their experiences.

Running for Park Board with Vote Vancouver, Summit is committed to streamlining park board services to improve response times while advocating for capital budgets to be allocated based on critical need.
