Amee’s roots are in Vancouver. Her parents called it home long before she did, and after living and working across Canada since the age of 13, she returned six years ago to put down permanent roots in the city she has always considered hers.
A lifelong outdoor enthusiast and nature lover, Amee has run community initiatives focused on equitable access to the backcountry, believing that outdoor spaces should be accessible to everyone. Her deep connection to the natural world and to the animals that inhabit it is what draws her to public service through the Park Board.
Amee completed her PhD at the University of Alberta, where her fieldwork focused on advocating for the rights of disenfranchised sex workers. She has since built a career leading complex public engagement initiatives and advocating for highly regulated industries including iGaming, energy, biotech, healthcare, FMCG, and agrichemicals, bringing a nuanced understanding of how policy, community, and environment intersect.Amee has lived and worked across Canada, contributing her expertise to both large multinationals and tech startups. She has led complex public engagement initiatives and developed effective regulatory advocacy strategies.
With formal training in facilitation (IAP2) and project management, Amee is skilled at building consensus around politically sensitive issues and supporting executive-level decision-making. She also has a strong research background and excels at crafting compelling, evidence-based narratives.
Amee has developed subject matter expertise in highly regulated industries, including iGaming, energy, biotech, healthcare, FMCG, and agrichemicals.
Based in Vancouver, she enjoys backcountry adventures, cooking, and staying politically active.
