Hello friends,

For those of you who have been coming into the salon over the past year, you’ve probably noticed I’ve been handing out a few Vote Vancouver buttons!

Well, after months of telling people about my sister and her decision to run for Mayor of Vancouver, I figured it’s probably time you meet the actual candidate behind all those buttons. I promise she’s more interesting than the button!

Rebecca’s campaign with Vote Vancouver is officially getting underway, and I’m hosting a casual fundraising meet and greet at the salon. Come by, have a drink, meet Rebecca and hear directly from her about why she’s running and what she hopes to accomplish for Vancouver.

As a small business owner, I have a real stake in how our city is run. I see every day how affordability, permitting, taxes, safety and the health of our neighbourhoods affect the people who live and work here. I want a city where small businesses can succeed and where people feel good about living and working.

I’ve known Rebecca my whole life, which means I’ve had plenty of opportunities to disagree with her long before politics entered the picture! But I’ve also watched her serve on City Council and stand up for what she believes in. I’m proud to support her, and I’d love for you to finally meet her in person.

Come by, say hello and bring your questions. It will be a relaxed evening with good conversation, and your support will help Rebecca and the Vote Vancouver team campaign for a better Vancouver.
